Three Fine Arts Paper
Casts Works on Exhibit in the Betty Barker Gallery at the
Carriage Barn Arts Center 11/20/2005 - 12/18/2005
November 20 -
December 18, 2005: An exhibition featuring PAPER as
the ARTISTS’ MEDIUM with cast paper installations, found
paper sculpture, pulp paintings, handmade paper, kirigami,
free form origami and other novel approaches to an ancient
material by 15 artists from across the US and Canada.

Chainsaw Carving Demonstration at the
North Cove Outfitter's "Fly Fishing & Outdoor Fall Fair '05"
on Oct. 8, 2005 10am - 4pm
The Fly Fishing & Outdoor Fall Fair '05 show will be held
(rain or shine) from 10am - 4pm in the The North Cover
Outfitter's store parking lot in Old Saybrook, CT on October
8, 2005. The chainsaw demos will occur at 10am, 1pm ,
and 3pm with each lasting about an hour. In addition
to the chainsaw carving, you can try out a number of
different sporting items such as fly fishing, axe throwing,
and competitive training firearms. For additional

Ostrich Sculpture "Flying Without
Leaving the Ground" was Juried into the 72nd National
Sculpture Society Show
The ostrich sculpture "Flying Without Leaving the Ground"
was accepted into the 72nd annual National Sculpture Society
sculpture show. The show opens in New York City on
Park Avenue from Sept. 12, 2005 through Dec. 2, 2005 and
then travels to Brookgreens Garden in South Carolina from
Jan. 14, 2006 through Feb. 26, 2006. The opening
reception for the NYC show will be held on Monday,
Oct. 17, 2005 at 6:00pm. Please visit the

Chainsaw
Carving Demonstration at Mid-Summer Festival on Saturday,
July 30, 2005 at Noon and Again at 2:00pm
The Mid-Summer Festival will be held on Saturday, July 30,
2005 in Old Lyme, CT. The carving demonstration will be held
at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts at
82 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT 06371. The demo
will be located in the parking lot behind the new building
(the building with the Pink Whale in front) at noon
and again at 2:00pm. The festival will go
from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm and includes works of art for
sale by various artists - including myself, a farmer’s market, events for the
kids, good food, and lots more. For more information
